Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and self-directed individual to our accounting team. The Manager of Accounting role will report to the Controller and is responsible for the day to day operational accounting and month end close. Position involves working remotely on a full time basis for a dynamic and growth oriented company in the educational technology sector. We offer a casual but very focused environment. The accounting team is small and works closely together on all aspects of the financial operations of the company, working directly with senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Responsible for preparing cash management and forecasting schedules

● Responsible for performing/managing the month end close process for 4 ledgers

○ Preparation and posting of month end accruals

○ Maintain fixed asset schedule and post depreciation

○ Maintain prepaid schedules and post amortization

○ Maintain lease obligation schedules and post payments

○ Perform account reconciliations including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations

○ Perform appropriate accruals as necessary

○ Prepare financial statements and consolidation

○ Prepare monthly budget to actual reporting and variance analysis

● Responsible for accounts payables

○ Enter invoices and ensure proper coding

○ Prepare weekly check runs

○ Post and make payments

● Perform special projects and analysis, as necessary

○ Preparing ad hoc reporting for management

○ Preparing schedules as necessary

● Aid in document management and preparation of schedules for yearend tax preparation and financial statement review

● Obtain and track IRS Form W9’s from vendors

● Prepare annual 1099 tax filings

● Perform other assigned projects as needed

Physical Location Requirements:

● As position involves working remotely, functional high-speed internet access is required. The company will provide a laptop and desk phone.

● Must be able to meet in person with other members of team, at least once per week somewhere in the vicinity of Denver or surrounding area, specific location to be determined.

Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

● Years of Experience: Combined 3-5 years in relevant work experience in public and private industry

● Skills required:

○ Must be flexible, organized and able to work under time constraints and deadlines

○ Must work well both independently and as part of a team

○ Attention to detail and effective communication skills are required

○ Must have a strong work ethic

○ Results driven

○ Fluency in English

○ Experience with bookkeeping and a willingness to participate in all aspects of accounting transaction recording and reconciliation, as needed.

● Certifications: CPA preferred

● Computer Proficiencies:

○ Intermediate proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets

○ Experience with QuickBooks

○ Experience with Salesforce a plus

We are seeking a Case Manager to provide technical support on Moodle functionality and work with clients and our internal team to resolve various issues. Specifically we need someone living in Canada.

Job Duties :

  • Troubleshoot Moodle activities and provide insight on problems
  • Find or write directions on Moodle Administration functions
  • Coordinate work with clients and Technicians
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet client’s needs
  • Work with clients to achieve acceptable resolution given policy and procedure
  • Document bug findings with moodle.org and in our internal system
  • Perform case work to meet our Service Level Agreement

We are looking for a smart, innovative, ambitious person to assume the position of product manager by leading us through the expansion of our product management process. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential, bringing with it the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the product development team. As Product Manager you will report to the Chief Innovation Officer and be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction our product roadmap for new and existing products and features, services, integrated solutions, and improvements. This includes market research and full go-to-market planning in a dynamic multi-product and multi-release environment. This position is a linchpin of cross team communication between business development, sales, technical support, design and development teams, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Chief Innovation Officer
    • Establishment of product roadmap and communication with all stakeholders appropriately.
    • Research and analyze market trends and technologies as well as competing products to help identify product improvements and new revenue opportunities.
    • Provide recommendations in product pricing and bundled solutions.

  • Collaborate with Development
    • Requirements gathering and analysis – both internally and externally (from clients)
    • Set, manage and execute release plans that balance schedules and features.
    • Actively participate in agile sprint planning and daily scrum.
    • Define minimum acceptance criteria for features and user stories.
  • Collaborate with marketing
    • Research/write white papers
    • Attend and exhibit at conferences

    • Interact with Technical Support to determine maintenance software releases need to resolve customer issues and critical requests.

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years demonstrated product management or product owner work experience in an agile/scrum software environment.
  • Experience defining, executing and delivering on SAS software and web technology, delivering both backend and frontend solutions.
  • Understanding of education and training as a business
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clearly define different delivery options and their respective tradeoffs.
  • Strategic yet action-oriented thinking. Advanced analytical, statistical, quantitative and deduction skills.
  • Strong balance between business minded mentality and ability to articulate technical solutions.
  • Ability to organize his/her own work and adhere to agreed schedules and deadlines.

Job description

Currently we are seeking a Solutions Architect (SA) to work with sales leadership and account executives as partners to craft strategic solutions for Remote-Learner’s clients. The SA is an essential part of the sales cycle and assists our clients in their educational technology selection process. Successful SAs are industry, technical and functional experts who understand the use of technologies in training and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for the Remote-Learner sales team;
  • Provide overall strategy and technical solution recommendations;
  • Develop proposals, work orders, and other scoping documentation
  • Present Moodle and other educational technologies to a variety of stakeholders;
  • Drive and actively manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress;
  • Lead in-depth technical requirements gathering, discussions and documentation with other IT experts;
  • Meets with other departments and resources on a regular basis. Travel may be involved;
  • Respond to technical RFP requirements; including both written and oral presentations to clients, selection committees and other outside entities;
  • Ensure a clean handoff from the sales process to delivery and implementation teams;
  • Attend conferences and industry events as a subject matter expert
  • Contribute expertise internally for product and service development purposes

Skills / Qualifications

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science or related field;
  • 3-5 years of Moodle Administration or equivalent;
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and JIRA a plus
  • Classroom or customer-facing experience a plus
